AX Actual Day 1
Look at me actually writing /o/ The first day wasn't a gathering day, so there weren't that many pictures to sort through. I'll split the other days into different entries by gathering though, just to make it easier on myself.
Anyways!
We got our badges fairly early on Thursday morning and sat around for the Dealers Hall/Artist Alley to open at noon (we thought it was opening at ten like all the other days but apparently not, but I wanted to greet Lucathia and her table before running off to my panel at one). P4 Protag was sitting across from us and was getting up to leave and I think I sort of scrambled to my feet and asked for a picture /o\ This is so strange for me, just stopping someone like that, but I'm glad all the cosplayers I stopped seemed happy to get their picture taken! Protag was great <3
There were a bunch of One Piece cosplayers all the days at the con! I'm so happy for this because it's an old fandom, but it's still amazing and people still love it and it makes me happy to see this uwu Luffy makes me happy; I love Luffy.
I think after a certain point, we got to stopping people just for their cosplays. At least, I don't know who these people are, but they had cool swords and were posing so I took the opportunity :x I sort of want to try making these-- I bet I could make a rudimentary cut and layered and painted styrofoam sword /o/
FOR MANDALORE!!!!
Look at this and tell me it isn't the coolest thing.
AND THIS GUY. Lots of Assassin's Creed running around-- my brother would be so excited. I played the games a bit, but it was mostly me running on top of roofs trying not to fall, and I think trying to catch a boat once but I forget if I'm able to swim or not :x This guy though, I think was one of the ones in line while we were waiting for our badges. There were some cool people in line but it was sunny and I was tired so I didn't snap any from then /o\

FMA!!!! God I love Winry. Like with One Piece, FMA is one of those fandoms I'm so happy people still love \o\ And the sins too!! There's a FMA gathering I took pictures at on a later date, so I'll have lots more of these later! WINRY THOUGH. I love her as a character /o\ /o\ /o\
LOOK AT THIS GUY'S FACE. You won't see the last of him either-- I did the Pokemon gathering too and I'm so happy he was there \o\ \o/ /o/ The Pokemon gathering in general was pretty much great <3
The first panel I went to was Mega64 and basically consisted of us watching videos and laughing our heads off /o\ Most of the games were old and I couldn't get the reference, but there were ones that I could pick out and then me feeling proud of myself for catching them, hahaha. I didn't take pictures or anything here because you guys can check them out elsewhere, but it was fun!
The other panel that I went to with Hymn was taiko drumming! I LOVE TAIKO. The first time I heard it was my freshman year in college, and part of our school team was actually sitting in the audience cracking jokes with the school performing for us, haha. The performers were too fast for my camera-- basically a blur of movement; it's not enough to listen to taiko, you've got to see it being performed, it's something wonderful /o/
LET'S PLAY SPOT THE SANADA!! I'm sorry, my camera lens was for portrait shots, not for zooming in or very fast motion ;; Hymn did an excellent job at this though-- gotta expect it from a musician :P Basically we were taught how to play on the different drums, and then the words for how to play each note. What Hymn's doing here is a Follow the Leader sort of thing where one of the performers plays a measure or two and participants repeat it back. It's very Sanada.
After taiko, we went to visit the sets where people could take photos in different sceneries. Here's Hymn as Sanada, and I think one of the only photos I have as me (I'll put up any other ones I have from Hymn's camera once she puts up her album link, for those of you who aren't mutual friends!) Mine was Shishido-- I started out with the hat, but it got too hot so I just put my hair up (mine curls too much, haha /o\) BUT AT LEAST I MADE AN ATTEMPT AT RIDIC PINK-SOLED HYOUTEI SHOES. E-even though you can't see them that well in the pic :x They're too dirt-ridden from tennis and running and stuff probably.
I just played photographer the rest of the time. Here's one of the classroom scenes with Sanada. Hymn has the photo of me on her camera: basically Shishido-sprawl across the desk, hahaha.
THERE WERE THE. CUTEST. KUROSHISUJI COSPLAYERS THAT CAME AFTER US. They drew a crowd within seconds-- just look at those precious babies ;________________;
/end Day 1! Next up was the craziest day for me: I went to four gatherings-- SCORCHING IN THE SUN I WAS DYING-- and still left early to catch the bus home in time for fireworks at the beach. Friday is Kuroko no Basuke, Free!, 2013-2014 new series, and FMA! I'll split it up into three entries-- KnB and Free! in separate entries, and the last two in the same one since the new series one was short.
I'll edit a link to Hymn's album too later so you can see the entire day's worth of photos! My computer says 55 files just for today, but a lot of them are duplicates/me trying to catch too-fast taiko drumming xD The same'll be for the other days (598 files for day 2.... this is why I'm splitting the posts up) so unless you care to see them, I've got you covered with filtering my favs! o7
