I always read Carolyn Hax's advice column, on the Washington Post advice page. She's enormously sane, super funny and articulate, and has a great relationship with her fans. Look back in the live-chat archives for her annual Holiday Hootenanny chats, too! They're hilarious.

This is my top choice as well! I was also introduced by Ladybird to it, and I read it every day. It's a daily dose of sanity!

I like her, too. She's never preachy or bossy, just down-to-earth reasonable and insightful.

There are many, many, blogs that I vist, most of them National Security or Cycling related. I will offer something completely different: Mighty God King (www.mightygodking.com). Chris Bird, (MGK, the main poster) is great. Other posters are somewhat less so, but still I find that it has something I find funny most days.

I am a big fan of this site: http://www.bakadesuyo.com/. Though, I have to admit I liked him on facebook and usually read the links that look interesting from there. I think it's more efficient that way.

I will also put in a plug for http://www.notquittingmydayjob.com. Which I seem to be updating wed/sat/sun.

I have a lot of art blogs that I follow, but I think you'd really like Noelle Stevenson's artwork. She has a wonderful mixture of LotR fanart and MFA projects. (The Broship of the Ring has a Nazgul on a bike!)

I think this is an awesome idea! :) Also, hugs for February. Well, I mean, hugs for you in February. February hugs for you. You get the point.
