hahaha seriously, that would be one hell of a quandary: "well it is law, after all, but...her idea is just so good at making the law look so foolish that abiding by it seems both at once impossible and insane"

hahaha. ;)

That would've been such a good idea to track her down! Damn. maybe I'll make an effort to catch her in January, although I'll have a handful of shit to do anyway and have no idea how one would go about doing it...though I suppose an online search for her e-mail contact would be possible...hhhmmmmm.
;p

When is a door not a door? When its a Ducasse! detuned_sky December 16 2006, 08:10:24 UTC
I can completely agree with the perceived degeneration of people and their culture, but I am sure The Count was an anomaly, even in his day.

By the way, you do own the Alexis Lykiard translation, and not the wretched Penguin Classics version, right?

OH OH! And Shishaldin! I found out about her around a year ago, and immediately wanted her to die, so I could use French law to marry her. She's as brilliant as 'modern art' comes.

I didn't know there was a Penguin Classics version! That sounds like a horrible idea. My copy is translated by Guy Wernham, who I konw little about.
