Have you ever spent an extended amount of time on something just to have one minor incident erase all of your work? I find it one of life's most frustrating problems. For example, I just spent over an hour idly typing up a new, long entry. I was nearly finished when my browser spontaneously crashed, causing me to lose everything. grrrrr. *glares at ( Read more... )

Lol, with LJ I've come to expect the occasional crash so I usually remedy the problem with two key commands: control+c(copies highlighted text) and control+v (pastes last copied text). So whenever I've doing something rather extensive, I tend to reserve a copy on the RAM. That prevents mishaps from occurring most of the time ( ... )

Yeah, like I said to Beth, I usually do the copy/paste thing - sometimes so many times it's silly. That time, though, I wasn't anticipating any malfunctions and didn't think of saving my work. *sigh*

Sarah actually had some sunblock with deet it in, but bugs still annoy me even if I have it. ugh.

We don't know how David and his times with God were, so I don't see how you can compare it...

lol, when did you see my handwriting? I wasn't referring to my penmanship, though - it's fine.

"it's one of the more better posts I have read"
Did you mean that this post was one of my better ones, or that I post some of the better posts out of the ones you read?

I don't try to make my posts elaborate, but sometimes people think they are. "Too many big words." lol. For blogs, specifically, I write how my brain spits it out as I think, then I just edit it a bit to make it more consice and/or understandable.

The same thing has happened to me once or twice. It was HORRIBLE losing all that work! I usually use the method Daniel described, but sometimes I don't bother because that almost never happens.

Your writing style is definitely understandable to me. In fact, I'm slightly jealous... hehe. :)

I know, isn't it just dreadful?! It's infinitely worse when you loose schoolwork, though. Blogs are nothing in comparison! I usually do the copy and paste thing when I'm writing a lot, but I didn't think of it this time. pfff.

What's there to be jealous about? My bro tends to think that my writing style is too wordy and flowery. I guess it might be true for my essays, but for my blogs I often very carefully calculate the words used - concise, but using the exact word that conveys my meaning...

It's certainly not TOO wordy and flowery. It seems to me like the balance of those things is just right. I don't think it's too elaborate for a blog.
