My old boss did this a couple of years ago during a similar ice-danger winter. Well, pretty much the same thing except she shattered her lower arm. They seem to move pretty fast to surgically pin and plate major fractures like that now. I hope you feel better and they let you out soon.

the doc is great, real old fashioned - cowboy ish doc full of stories, apparently he tried putting rods in, but they wouldn't stay so instead we're doing thigs the old fashioned way- heavy as hell cast, basically letting gravity do its work -think traction. painful as heck but the pain at least will go away for the most part rsn
