Or, alternatively, you could also buy some rain pants to put over your current pants and shed those once you get to your office. Just an idea. (rain pants = pants that are made out of the same material as rain coats).

I just wish we will get some sun soon. Sigh.

Those don't help at all if it suddenly starts raining halfway to my office.

And also, emergency socks and an emergency shirt wouldn't be at all a bad idea, and I really don't want to carry around the devices that make emergency socks unnecessary.

In grad school, I had an office mate who kept an emergency collared shirt on his bookshelf in case his advisor sprung an unexpected presentation on him. I even saw him use it once.
