COACHELLA i am so psyched!

although, really, it's a pity that they schedule so many great bands at the same time.

Juana Molina -vs- The Sounds?

Stereolab -vs- The Rapture?

and, Jesus,
Le Tigre -vs- The Cure?
(i can't deal with this one. curse you coachella godses!!!)

please, somebody help me. i can't make these decisions on an empty stomach.

The Cure wins out any battle. ANY.

so does The Cure beat Muse, hypothetically?

What if Bjork was singing with Muse, hypothetically?

What if Lol Tolhurst was back with the Cure, and wearing a giant bunny costume?

hypothetically, of course?

i never seen Muse, they are a recent acquisition to me. and actually i am not so hot on "showbiz" but i can listen to "absolution" on nonstop repeat for days, it's so fucking good.

i haven't seen the cure in maybe 10 years...i think you're right. but le tigre are so damn cute! this is the blessing, not so much a curse...having to make these decisions.

The best Muse album is Origin Of Symmetry. I was hooked on them ever since Sunburn, so really...yeah. But no, The Cure i think would beat Muse, hypothetically. But if Bjork was singing with Muse...that would be so odd that I'd pick them to watch over The Cure. I don't know about the bunny costummed Tolhurst though. I have enough trouble making everyday decisions! *brain starts to spin*
I have never seen The Cure live!!!!

well wouldn't you know it, i missed muse...under the influence of a hot tub, a cold pool, and slow friends. they played too early on the 2nd day, and we were tryin to recover from the 1st day and beat the heat.

sigh...next time...

but THE CURE were great, alghouth the sound was a little off (not enough gtr/keys). they played lots of old stuff: charlotte sometimes, play for today, a forest, lovecats, boys don't cry, night like this, close to me, in between days, push, and like half of disintegration. plus some newer stuff. if was lovely.

it seems that they're doing benefits and festivals, so if you can brave the crowds, you might see them this summer. some place like jones beach i reckon. it's worth it. robert still has a lotta spunk.

i've heard that robert smith - while obviously talented a legend awesome fabulous - is (dare i say it) pretty lackluster and bloated in his live set now. i think my vote goes to le tigre.

stereolab will undoubtedly be playing stuff from their newish album. (i'm of two minds when bands do this. it's great to hear their new stuff, but if no one knows it yet, the energy ends up all weird and disjointed)

and you know what i think of The Sounds.

sigh ::: you lucky boy.
