Yeah, I just searched the web for a half hour and I still don't understand that reference.

hahahahaha yeah, it's pretty obscure

in star trek 2: wrath of khan, spock sacrifices himself to save the ship. he goes to close off a radiation leak or some shit and ends up dying, just full of radioactive stuffs, hence the cancer reference.

Like Scot said, apart from the reference to Star Wars (*rolls eyes*), Lymphoma is a type of cancer of the lymph nodes, which can be found mostly around the throat, collar bones, arm pits and groin area.

I know, I'm just a fountain of worthless information! :P
