About thirteen months ago my life began. I knew that ever since Bush was elected that I hated him and what he stood for, and would love nothing more than to get him out of office. It was on this campus that I attended my first rally, a rally for Howard Dean. You may laugh when I say Howard Dean as he became basically a laughing stock for the ( Read more... )

Wow, that's an awesome speech Rachel! Keep fighting! Someday it'll make a difference! Can you believe there was a discussion in my art history class today about how people were so angry that Bush won that they wanted to assasinate him!! So then someone was like, then Cheney would become President and that would be even worse. Then the other person retorted, No, because Cheney would have a heart attack from the whole affair and die anyways. I can't believe people thought of that!!

Well, I love the fact that even though our president will only be in office for four more years the reactionary supreme court he installs will be in there for our lifetimes. Let me tell you a little something about your constitutional rights in the future: they will bent for "the best interest of our country in this time of perpetual war"

I leave it up to Bob Dylan to take this one home:
"I'm going to buy me a barrel o' wiskey, I'll die before I go senile
Well, I cried for you, now it's your turn to cry awhile"

I hate Bush. I seriously think this election was rigged. Didn't Bush only need 1 electoral vote at one point? That wouldn't "just happen", I think that was totally rigged. Seriously... how did so many people become hypnotized by that monkey???!!! GRRRR when I get my first draft letter i'm gonna fucking KILL him. Yeah I probably shouldn't say that here but I don't care. I love this country, but i HATE the STUPID people living in it.

oh man... I'm so proud of your life as a budding democrat :-P You may hate the stupid people living in this country, but we are stuck with them. They aren't hypnotized by the monkey, they are voting for religious values. The really scary point then is... when did the difference between church and state become so slim? The only way to change things is to become involved and work hard for change. It was a let down this time around, but perhaps it won't always be a let down. And one day we will take this country back... hopefully before I die haha...
