Getting out of the hospital is an awesome thing. So is getting to go home with Tommy even if they've got to do it in a cab. After so much time being stuck in one room, Jase would like nothing more than to be riding his motorcycle right now - but he wasn't stupid enough to drive himself to the hospital, so it's not like it was waiting for him ( Read more... )

Tommy wouldn't mind riding double with Jason, but as things are he doesn't have a helmet with him, so it would have been a no-go. He sits back and looks contemplative.

"Well, you're probably gonna want to take things easy for a while. Not like bed rest, but at least relax a bit." He absently takes hold of Jason's hand.

"I was thinking a nice, laid-back evening. A couple glasses of wine, I could make you dinner... Y'know, just the two of us. I have to go back to Reefside tomorrow afternoon, and..."

He blushes a bit. "I guess it probably sounds selfish, but I'm not all that keen on sharing you with anyone else when I've got so little time alone with you right now."

Not to say that they can't relax on the balcony, or go for a walk or something.

Well, okay. Jase could have objected to that, but the way Tommy puts it is very sweet. And more than a little cute.

He does his best. Tommy grins back.

"Next time we can go out, or take a ride, or do whatever you want. I just don't wanna see you overtaxing yourself so soon after getting out of the hospital. I tried to do that, and... it didn't go very well."

Of course, he'd also left before he was told to, and he had a bunch of stuff on his mind. To say nothing of two very time- and energy-consuming jobs.

"Besides, after my cooking you should appreciate eating out all the more."

Apparently they just shouldn't be left to their own devices after being hurt. Jase feels bad for not being there to make sure that Tommy hadn't worn himself out, and the guilt flashes on his face, but he tries to hide it.

"I'm sure your cooking isn't that bad," he says, with a half hearted grin.
