After managing to make the drive between Georgia and California, Jase is pretty tired. But he's not as tired as he would be, given that he made it all in one go - but he crashed at his parents' house, first, to avoid any doctor-like wrath Tommy would have for him ( Read more... )

Tommy might still chew Jason out for driving forty hours nonstop, because that's just STUPID. He will, however, be glad that the man at least got to crash for a few hours and get some sleep.

The good doctor himself looks rather awake and cheerful this morning. He's also carrying a large, steaming cup of coffee in each hand -- hey, he knows his boyfriend. The man's a caffeine junkie to the core.

"Jase? Hey, Jason! Open up!" Tommy "knocks" on the door with one foot.

"There's a toll," Jason replies, as he slides off the counter and heads for teh door. "And it's payable with caffeine!"

...yeah. Junkie.

But when he opens the door, his grin really isn't because of the coffee. It's because he's happy to see Tommy.

Even happier to know that this door will bring him Tommy a lot more than his old one did.

"Fortunately," Tommy says as he brandishes one of the cups, "I brought some with me. I figured you'd probably be needing it, considering your inability to get going in the morning without your fix."

He's grinning as well; AG is only a couple hours' drive from Reefside, meaning that visits are going to be a lot more frequent. And that makes for a very happy Tommy indeed. The Ranger leans in and gives Jason a quick kiss.

"Now let me in, handsome. Your coffee's gonna get cold."

Jase grabs for the cup, and steps aside so Tommy can step inside. "My hero," he says, with feeling. He burns his tongue pretty quickly by downing about half, but he doesn't much care right now.

"This is the new place," he says, even though that's -really- obvious. "Not that it's much without... anything in it."

There's a blanket in a corner, toilet paper and a toothbrush in the bathroom.
