Reconsidering Magnesium Again

Jan 10, 2011 19:15

I bought new magnesium supplement again. I took some today for stress and slept for like an additional 2 hrs onto my 9 or 10 from last night. I think I'm still sleep deprived from some days ago.

Interesting personal anecdotes on "noise sensitivity". My sibling has that problem...can hear the bugs walk on the inside of walls and stuff plus ( Read more... )

Transdermal Magnesium works well as it does not cause loose stool. Tub soaks in Epsom salt work well for me. As does wiping a saturated solution of Nigari (used in tofu making) on the body after a bath, and letting it dry.

Yeah they mention that on the webpage too...the transdermal method. I use that too, but baths are a PITA in this house.

hm. did they mention menstrual cramps? I wonder if the mechanisms causing cramps are using up so much magnesium that deficiency then makes it all feel worse... since you find relieve from taking magnesium supplement, right?

also, aside:

Yes they mention women may need more magnesium than men. Yes, i do. Mg makes it better for sure.

Koo link! Usually a leopard is not able to kill a croc because crocs travel in groups and another croc would be so into snacking on a spotted kitteh! I know the guy was all confused about leopards taking the time to kill and unusual animal that doesn't provide a lot of meat for the effort, but I don't think it's that strange. I suspect that animals may practice zoopharmacology where there might be something medicinal about the croc meat for the leopard which is why it went through the dangerous effort.

That was interesting about magnesium and noise sensitivity. I wonder if it also has something to do with my super-hearing up and down the scale? Also, the antibiotics + the gluten tolerance change suggests that my needing such high doses of magnesium is explained.

Could be. I just say try it! If it works then maybe that was it. If it didn't ... oh well...nothing harmed.
