I have to say that I am truly worried about my little sisters.  I want them to be well-rounded, smart young ladies...which they are.  BUT - their father is such a bad influence on them, and they are so impressionable at this age (they turn 11 next month).  He tells them "facts" that are so misguided...I can't even explain it.  A few examples:  ( Read more... )

Your dad is quite the specimen....and I don't mean that in a good way. Did he learn to be like that from his own childhood? I just don't understand how people get like that? :/

But you know, your sisters will learn on their own as well. I doubt that in these times, parents still have as much of an influence as they used to, as there are so many outside influences these days. Of course you pick up things from home, but their own lives and school will teach them all they need to know :) If that makes any sense. LOL.

Eek - he's not my dad. He's my mom's husband (I refuse to even call him "stepfather")...my father and I still haven't spoken. I plan to keep it that way. Anyway I'm not sure how he got that way - I guess then men his family just pass the ignorance to each generation. *shrugs*

My sisters will learn on their own. They're smart girls. I just hate seeing them exposed to this crap.
