Reading Kat's recent post reminded me of something that happened this morning.

Conversation between my mother and I this morning, on the way to work:

Mom: That van over there has a Kerry sticker on it. I don't know why anyone would vote for him, he wouldn't know what to do.  I don't know who I'll vote for in 2008, since Bush can't run anymore.

Welcome to life around my mother and grandparents. ;) It is kind of amusing how you point out one of Bush's mistakes and get the strangest response back. They don't even try to defend him.

I was watching his speech today about his latest election for the Supreme Court. Did you hear how he claims he doesn't discuss abortion rights issues with his nominees? All I could think of was that he was telling more lies. And then I wasn't surprised when the news station said their investigation found that his nominee is a Pro-Lifer to the extreme. Bush also had this evil look about him when he was talking about his nominee. I just don't like the guy. lol.

Oh my, am so glad my parents aren't like that...I so don't envy you...but we do have some friends and neighbours who would just defend the old communist government for the silliest things and when you explained to them what has been historically proven, they just somehow get a response without even listening...

Am so glad we have a 'normal' government for a change now lol
