First off, kudos to you for saving Elbee from the needle! The world need more folks like you.

Some unsolicited advice from an old-hand cat foster: You might want to give Elbee his own space--his own litter box, food dishes and space where he can go unhassled by the one who just found herself with a new "roommate." Even a bathroom is fine. Or you can put his box and dishes upstairs. Not only does it cut down the stress felt by both cats, but it helps protect Nina from anything Elbee may have brought in from the "outside."

Good luck!

Things were definitely progressing in that direction... however, he is now on the next leg of his journey and should be with his foster momma, a crazy cat lady who has about a half dozen of the little darlings. I still can't get over how comfortable he looked in my loft. Crazy, that.
