I rescued a cat from euthanasia this morning and brought him home. Nina is so unused to being aggressive around other cats, she doesn't even know which way to hiss right now. Some unsolicited advice from an old-hand cat foster: You might want to give Elbee his own space--his own litter box, food dishes and space where he can go unhassled by the one who just found herself with a new "roommate." Even a bathroom is fine. Or you can put his box and dishes upstairs. Not only does it cut down the stress felt by both cats, but it helps protect Nina from anything Elbee may have brought in from the "outside."
