;) i totally get you.
i felt the same way about drinking and seeing people get wasted for no reason before. in undergrad i was surrounded by people like that.

but i guess it's a lot different now. i like to go out to bars on the weekends with people that i actually have decent conversations and good times with when we aren't drinking. we are all adults and of age and the "scene" is much different. it's something new that i like. i hope you aren't extremely saddened by me!

but your lifestyle is what you choose. everybody does their thing and i think you really have a beautiful mind. i find that i've been closer to God lately and it's been helping me be happy with myself and where i'm headed in life.

As i was checkin out how one of my close friend's doin (whom i hvnt seen for yonks and whom is linked to your LJ account..dnt worry, aint a stalker, hehe), i stumbled on this entry which caught my attention. Upon reading it, it gave me the light in understanding futher the issues that im going through right now. Beforehand though, i couldn't fully comprehend this phase of life where it feels like im "drifting" away from my close friends and social life. People would ask if there's anything going on for i appear to be "different" and acting like another person because im becoming more of a homebody and dnt party as much. I ddn't really know how to properly answer that question and would just give them the reason that im "re-structuring" my priorities in life, which is what ive been tryin to do at the moment, and which is pushing them away. Moving onto a much important note, this entry is awesome and i wanna thank you for your magnificent effort in voicing your opinion and for posting the article above. It made things a lot more clearer ( ... )

hey im glad this entry has given you a better perspective on feeling why you feel like your drifting from your friends. it's awesome how God draws his children closer and closer to Him just as we are faithful and obedient to his calling. you are set apart. so just as it is important for you to re-structure your priorities in life don't forget that your calling is to bring your friends to Christ as well. pushing them away isn't quite a solution but sharing to them the joy you find in God is all that may truly just need :)
