btw, I wrote this on my ipad on the plane home, which is why it looks like I was drunk while typing this. lol I have ~plans to flesh it out and add pictures eventually.

2. Leave everything on that page alone and click on the Customize Selected Theme button at the bottom right.
3. Under Customize Your Theme, select the Display, and scroll down to Basic Options.
4. Where it says "Disable customized comment pages for your journal", select Yes
This will change your comment pages to the default LJ view, which is black text on a white background with light blue headers and sidebar.
Now, to make this the layout you see on everyone's journal:
1. Go to My Account Settings
2. Click on the Display tab
3. Click the tickybox for "Comment Pages - View comment pages from my Friends page in my own style"
Bonus: If you'd like to view all journals and communities in your own style, click the tickybox for "Other Journals - view all journals and communities in my own style". You won't be able to see custom headers anymore, but you won't go blind trying to read in other folks' horrible layouts.
