I haven't gotten to that point, but Edward just hinted that he can't go out in bright sunlight. It's so rare that everyone is right about something, but in this case everyone who said this book is terrible was on point.
It's not just terrible writing, it's downright dangerous. I keep bugging everyone who works with kids in my office that we need to hammer home that Edward is a freakish sociopath and his love for Bella is abusive and unhealthy. (We have to say it because there's a disturbing trend towards saying that Edward is SO ROMANTIC and they want a boyfriend JUST LIKE HIM.)
I got super creeped out. If I was Bella I'd have to be like stop following me, I don't care how good your breath smells.
("Sleep well," he said. His breath blew in my face, stunning me. It was the same exquisite scent that clung to his jacket, but in a more concentrated form. I blinked, thoroughly dazed. He leaned away.)
