Long has it slumbered, and the people grew complacent. They dared to dwell and do business in its shadow. They forgot the terror. They forgot the insanity. But no longer.
Oh my gosh I love the knife and fork I must have them where did you get them
Also, I don't know if it's necessarily a bad idea to cook range-things such as pancakes in a pie pan, but pie pans do seem to be exclusively reserved for in-the-oven creations.
Also, maybe try making smaller pancakes? I know that food that is smaller than your head may have a lower Awesome Quotient than food that is as big as your head, but smaller pancakes are easier to flip.
I've had them for months! I don't remember! Maybe Ikea? Yeah, I think that was it. I have spoons like that too. Others have suggested smaller pancakes too, I'll give that a shot next time. I actually got good at flipping, but smaller pancakes supposedly bake easier.
PS keep in mind that cooks.com is all USER SUBMITTED RECIPES. This means that the first recipe you find may or may not actually be *good*. Look at several and pick out one that follows the patterns of most of them.
Or get an actual published cookbook, from a name you trust. Yeah.
The one I picked had the most positive reviews (the first recipe I looked at had ten reviews, all negative). One of the reviews said "We're both 10 and we could make it!", so I'm hopeful I can eventually get my baking ability on par with a ten-year-old's.
Good to know! I found the baking soda/powder equation on a random website, so it's quite possible it's wrong. I think I'll just skip buttermilk entirely and go with plain pancakes. My pancakes were definately too thin, a logical consequence of adding more milk. I'll try some melted butter on the pan next time, that seems good. I tried using 1/4 cup of batter and it came out fairly nice, but still too thin. Also, your icon is quite appropriate.

Dude, I'm gonna send you the best pancake recipe. It's the one my mom used when I was a kid, from Betty Crocker. I use coconut oil - yum.
