TWO AND A HALF MORE WEEKS. SEVEN MORE SHIFTS.

And then I get to pack up my desk and get the hell out of Dodge. THAT'S RIGHT, I QUIT MY EFFING JOB!! And I've been doing a happy dance since the day I submitted my resignation a week and a half ago and haven't really stopped since. It felt like bad form to announce it elsewhere but I had to say it ( Read more... )

I envy you Laura, I really do. I wish I had the capacity to quit my job but I can't right now, b/c I honestly can't find anything better, by better I mean closer to my home ( i commute about 45 min into Rochester from Medina) and any jobs I find that are available, or all either very low wage total entry level position (ie requiring at least a GED if no High School diploma) or something so High and above the degree i have or something I have no interest in. The job market absolutely sucks right now, and I hate to make this about politics, but there is a fucking political party, a portion of America's government who is hell bent on making the current president look bad merely b/c of the color of his skin and there are ppl going around saying its b/c hes a democrat which is fucking bull shit. Meanwhile they ignore creating jobs or working to repair the infrastructure of this country all b/c they want to say later on that it was there party that did it. Its fucking disgusting and abysmal ( ... )

I hope this works out for you!! I was beginning to wonder where you had gone to, and now I know it was one of the levels of Hell. For what it's worth, getting kicked out of student teaching was probably the best thing for me, so as a dirt-poor-looking-back-on-it individual I can say I definitely think the lower stress will be we worth it.

Lol . . . you're right, it was pretty bad. I've already almost forgotten how stressed I was when I actually put in my resignation. You can imagine that just handing that in helped a lot to make me relax, and the brain isn't good at remembering misery, so it feels a lot more distant than it is. I appreciate your perspective on this. No matter how bad it was trying to do both, it's still really hard to let something go . . .
