1) this is not a war. if it was a war, congress would have passed a resolution formally declaring war on Iraq. they have not yet done this, so this is not a war, merely a conflict

President Bush did obtained authorization to use military force against Iraq, back in October of 2002. (H. J. RES. 114; JOINT RESOLUTION; to authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq.)
Congress has not formally declared war since World War II.
Unless you live in a cave, you will soon realize the UN route was corupted by the fact that the three opposing nations' finger prints are all over the current military of Iraq. Germany built many if not all of the presidential bunkers in Baghdad, Russia has long been supplying them with arms, and France has long been in breach of the original sanctions placed on Iraq 12 years ago, and has engadeged in open trade with Iraq.
Also, you seem to think we are doing NOTHING with North Korea. we have 20,000+ troops stationed in South Korea, and it would be insane for the US to wage war on multiple fronts. And from a diplomatic standpoint, at least North Korea is willing to have open discusions.
And, you also seem to forget the War Powers Act, which alows the president to initiate military action anywhere in the world for 60days with OUT a formal declaration of war. And so what if there is no formal declaration of war, it is still by all means a war, with the full backing of the government and population majority.
