Interesting how we run across former SCAers, isn't it?

Karen/Isdahara also had a previous SCA name, of the french variety, before taking up Middle Eastern pursuits. I know her through the SCA, but we also have mutual friends outside of the SCA, and didn't know that for years. (Problems of using SCA names sometimes is that common friends did not know that the X = Y).

Oh, and I forgot to add, I came across a website the other day that you may (or may not) find interesting. It's on Lacis, and is a type of lace-making done in the Middle Ages. The link is: http://www.elinor.org.uk/needlecrafts/filet.htm. She also has a tutorial on how to do it: http://www.elinor.org.uk/needlecrafts/tutorial.htm.
