Went both great! Well... the ultrasound confirmed the diagnostic: the meniscus is far from destroyed, but it has a clearly defined fracture line. And the date invited me to her birthday party last Saturday, and... well, now is when I must be discreet... ;)

Will you need an operation or will it heal naturally?

No, it will not heal. They are like glasses: once broken... The doc said I can a)ask for surgery now, and have a replacemenet, or b) wait until it breaks completely and have surgery.
