(no subject)
Been neglecting my journal lately, but I have been busy doing other things, still it's no excuse lol. Got my exam results for last semester the other day. Got 1 B and 3 C's so quite pleased with that considering I thought I'd failed...WOOT!!!
And I've actually been keeping up with all my reading AND planned for some essays weeks in advance, that is a first ever for me, essays are usually done the night before, if I'm lucky two nights before :S so I'm really pleased with myself *pats self on back*
Also I've been spending a lot of time with the Japanese students who are visiting over here. Had lunch with my Japanese "buddy" Aya on Friday and today a bunch of us (me,my boyfriend Jahan and 3 Chinese students from my uni, Karrance, Stephanie and Ching) took 7 of them to Manchester for the day. It was really good fun! We went on a tour of Old Trafford which is the football stadium for Manchester United, we had dinner in a chinese restaurant which was gorgeous and then we went wandering around Manchester and all of its shops (I particularly liked the free bus service, because well, it's free and I'm a student :D plus Manchester is a huuuge place. While we were stood waiting at a bus stop I noticed that there was a little screen built into the bus stop and it was playing clips from the new Chicken Little movie...and then I discovered if I pressed on some buttons below the screen, different clips would play...it was an interactive bus stop! I was so amazed lol, but then the bus came and I had to leave before I'd discovered everything it could do *sob*
Two of the Chinese girls have sent me some pics of us at Old Trafford today so I'll post them here now and if I get any more I'll post them up later :)
