This is extra normal for nearly anything from Japan or China, so just be prepared for the high cost of shipping.
My best suggestion for you is this: When you have your monies, post here and on https://www.facebook.com/groups/249963740322/ to see if anyone is interested in doing a group order. This can really cut the shipping cost *and* it is a great opportunity to meet some of the other people who are into Lolita.
