Great stuff, really coming together. I like how you tied these last few episodes together. I am worried, however, that the end is really THE END. Are you done after this season? Understand this must take a lot out of you, but you are great at it.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I am wrapping up this series so I can spend more time on my original fiction. I was originally going to wrap up at episode 218 (this is 217 above), but the material I still need to cover is going to take a couple more episodes. So 219 will probably wrap it up.

Glad you are enjoying it!

I figured as much, but that is depressing to your fans (yes, your fans). It is hard to see a beloved show die, particularly one with such fascinating characters. You have done such a wonderful job creating your own space for the universe to exist, so it is going to feel like a second cancellation, at least to me.

In a comment I posted a long time ago, I mentioned that about the time Angel was cancelled, I had this idea for a show called The Destroyer. Lo and behold, I found your site. Yesterday I was watching a rerun of Bones, thinking about the number of times that show provided opportunities for Angel to pop up or for Conor to appear. On a whim I did a google search and found tons of Bones/Angel fan fiction. Perhaps these characters will never truly die!

There's some interesting Dexter/AtS fan fiction out there. And I'll bet, without checking, that there might be Mad Men/AtS as well.

::my head is spinning::

Work for both TD 218 and 219 is underway....

I have fans!

I'm looking forward to seeing how you wrap things up, even if I'm a little sad that this is ending. Understand why though.

I remember, I think a few years ago, you wrote a short story involving Connor and Angel. What are the chances of you doing something like that every once in a while?

The only short story I wrote of Connor and Angel was a bit of a comedy piece in my LJ featuring them getting drunk together, which eventually found its way into The Destroyer in a less silly way. Is that what you mean?

Thanks for your nice words!

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. Using that story as an example (probably a poor one since it did make it into the series in a way), I was just wondering if you thought there was any possibility that, maybe after getting away from TD for a while, you may have the urge to write random scenes around that length once in a blue moon.

I also seem to remember you saying you normally don't like writing fan fiction like that so I was expecting a "no" answer, but I felt like asking anyway.

(Since I’m not sure I’m being clear: Because I very much like how you write these characters, I'm just holding on to hope that you'll *want* to use them again some time in the future, even if it's in a much smaller way. This is supposed to be my way of finding out if that hope is justified or not.)

That's actually kind of a relief, because I thought you might be mistaking someone else's story for something someone else had written, I write so little fan fiction, especially of the short variety.

There's certainly going to be room for more story when I finish up the series. Short follow-up stuff is always a possibility.

Thanks for reading and glad you have been enjoying it!

I'll have a chance to print out and read on a trip to Washington next week. Thanks for persisting in doing this. I do want to see how you end it.

Did you read the previous episode? I know you commented there, but mostly to express your frustration at not being able to read at the pace I was writing.

Which, btw, is months and months between episodes.

However, this story will remain up until LJ falls off the internet, and I may reformat it and move it to my atpo domain at that, so it's not going anywhere after I finish it.

I think so. When I checked there were parts I remembered and parts that I didn't. So maybe I have to re-read. I'm sure I've at least current with the one before that.

Like I said, it's not going anywhere, so don't worry about taking your time.
