I am so excited about this incredible micro financing website http://www.kiva.org where you can loan small amounts of money (lowest is $25 which is only £16) to individual people and projects in areas of poverty who have ask for small loans to get their enterpreneurial business going. Kiva acts as collective of "loaners" (you and me) who sign up

Very interesting. :) Unfortunately, I'm in a point of life where I need one of those loans more than I can afford to contribute to one. But I shall keep this in mind for future.

One question: Do you get back just what you put in, or is there any interest?

There is no interest and you get back 100% of what you put in.
