Applause Store never sends ME nice emails like that, and I've applied for them all! I've had to resort to subterfuge (e.g., calling from the States and pretending to be American. Uh. By which I mean pretending that I'm flying over just for the show; certainly I'm still American anyway . . .) and blatant demands (e.g., messaging Justin Pollard and saying, "Put me on your guest allocation for a recording or two or else I will slit my own throat.") I don't know why such a thing as QI tickets should be so hard to come by. Did you call or just apply online?

I purely applied online - that's why I was so shocked at receiving that. I thought I'd need to phone up and beg or something. I also hadn't expected an email - I thought they'd phone me if I'd been successful. I applied for all the dates they have up though. Maybe they thought I seemed desperate and felt sorry for me!

Hmm, so what did they say when you phoned up? & what did Justin say to that email?!! I would've thought that if anyone could get in it'd be you, what with all your amazing contacts!

I don't have special tickets though, so will have to queue for hours with the masses. Probably in the rain. Any ideas how early I should get there? Being turned away would be awful! I'm hoping they're not too tight on age restrictions as well - I'm not 18 til June, but I'll be with my Mum and have a fake photo ID if it comes to it! Have you ever seen them ID people?

Hope you're lucky enough to get tickets again. If you get them for 18th May, let me know and I'll be on the lookout!

They're really bad at getting back to people online. You're so lucky - cherish that email! When I phoned, they gave my tickets because I rock socks at faking, and Justin gave me tickets right away, but it shouldn't have to BE like that. Damn AD.

You should get there . . . pretty early. I'd say at least by 4:00. You'd be screwed by 5. They won't ID you, though, really. They don't care quite that much; it's just a legal thing.

It's possible I'll be there on the 18th, though. I just have to make sure I sign up for a proper timeslot for my German oral.
