I needed to make a new entry, to show off my entirely new layout. Just because it is so tight. I figured i would do that lame song lyric thing, because its easy. Except for the fact i don't listen to mainstream music, so it might be hard to guess. Anyway, y'all know the rules

Guess the lyrics

1. Ooh, you were meant to be near me. Ooh, I ( Read more... )

Ok well obviously you know which ones I would know, because you have some excellent music taste...

1. "Got to Get You Into My Life," The Beatles

12. "Sexy Sadie," The Beatles

13. "Savoy Truffle," The Beatles

14. "Across the Universe," The Beatles (and one of the best lyrics EVER)

15. "For What it's Worth," Buffalo Springfield

I'd like to post an addendum to my answer for #1: this particular lyric can be heard on the COVER VERSION of Got to Get You Into My Life, performed by Earth Wind and Fire. However, this lyric is based on the original lyrics of the song written by Paul McCartney and perfomed by The Beatles:

"Ooo, you were meant to be near me
Ooo, and I want you to hear me
Say we'll be together every day"

The original song appeared on the Revolver album, released in 1966, though the UK version had three extra songs than the US version. Recording for this song began on April 7th, 1966 and continued until June 17th 1966. Mixing for the song commenced on May 18th, 1966 and finished on June 22 1966. The original song is 2 minutes and 31 seconds in length. An alternate version of the song can be found on the Anthology 2 CD, released in March 19th, 1996.

Again, I apologize profusely for causing this unintentional pain, clearly I should have pointed out the subtle differences between the two song versions before I posted my comment.

Happy, Travis?
