fish on its breath and death in its eyes

under violent clouds and whispering thunder i slip on the moldy bark. i panic and try to claw at the nearest branch. losing all my balance i plunge into the river. as i pull myself out and onto the sand i realize how much time has passed. i havent been in the river for six years. i never want to feel that water on my skin again.

I had a dream once, that began with me crawling out of the river, dragging myself onto a parkinglot and standing up strait to greet my friends. When I woke up I was nervous and cold. It felt as though I just had an intense nightmare, but it was much the reverse. The dream was quiet and warm. The rush of oxygen into my lungs stung my brain and left me nothing to say or think.

have you ever dreamed you were a different person?
What if someone else is dreaming about being you?

the water i had in my back yard could make you grow a third eye or maybe even scales. That is where my dog hung his self. Im glad he never made it to that water. Derek jumped into it once
