Aside from being old and cool-looking, I hope to actually use this thing for some old-timey photo-graphie. If I can find a way to add film.

I hope I won't have to actually smash it open to do that...

Does it have a crank on top anywhere? From the front, it looks like it might take plates.

There is a crank, but nothing else...

Usually, if there's a crank, there would be two clips on the sides that hold on the whole back of the camera. With this setup, you would have to load your film in the darkroom and then snap the case shut.
