I've been playing lots of Castlevania and buying lots of comics. I just beat Castlevania II, yesterday I beat Super Castlevania IV, and I've been working on I and II, but they're really hard and require more time. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life came out a week earlier than I thought, so I've been playing that since I've come back from spring break. I bought Otogi: Myth of Demons the other day and have been playing it a lot. It's a third-person action game similar to Shinobi or Devil May Cry, but with RPG elements like equipable weapons, magic, and accessories, along with gold to spend and experience to gain. I started out hating Kingdom Hearts, even though I went into it hoping for the best, as I had heard it was a great game and it only cost me $15 new. The camera was awful and uncoordinated, the combat was random and irritating, and the stories within the Disney worlds were weak. Fatal Frame 2 is good, but Fatal Frame 1 is better. Both are worth owning for sure. Now I'm interested in playing Silent Hill, but I think I'll start with the second, since the first one is supposed to have maddening play mechanics and the second doesn't relate very directly with the first. I beat all of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance's 300 missions the other day, and I'm now playing the original again :D I bought Mario Kart: Double Dash and was underwhelmed at first, but I've warmed up to it after playing with the guys back home for awhile. If nothing else, its a good game for when I have guests over, since Co-op mode is pretty neat. ( Read more... )
