I've got adblock plus, addart, and flashblock. Flashblock is great for me because I'm still running a PIII 900 overclocked to 1.1 (it's about 10 years old) and most of the websites I visit try to vomit flash ads and videos all over, causing the browser to hang.
FlashBlock is great for older systems, or for systems you want to tighten down a bit (as is NoScript). I've got FlashBlock on all of of my clients' older workstations, that would otherwise choke on all that flash garbage out there.
Nice. I'll definitely have to keep that in mind. I think (such as with your Facebook example) though that my resolution is too low for me to see all the ads ;p. But hey, still the fewer ads we have to deal with, the better.
And it is cool that it pares any flash or animated ads that might eat up system resources. It's not a big deal on a macho system, but on some of the older workstations, they take a noticeable performance hit when a video banner kicks in.
Yeah, I can imagine that for sure. Similar to how if you have a normal mobile phone and try to browse the web that any ads just kills the performance of them. I could see this being really useful (aside for anyone), for the small laptop and netbook systems out there.
