a large female chinese mantid can reach, well, disconcertingly long lengths of 8 inches. anyway, i was thinking i'd like to try and raise a mantid again after we move. chinese mantids are very aggressive so maybe i'll check into another variety. aren't they nifty though? the only drawback is that they aren't a long lived creature.

frank's memorial service was the most beautiful and true event of that sort i've ever experienced. even my son sat transfixed. the pastor of the ethical society spoke about frank (his wife grew up going there, etc.) then both of his sons spoke as well as a nephew, niece and his sister-in-law. their comments just reflected the purity of frank's ( Read more... )
