of these, i've only seen django unchained, which i loved. i've never even heard of beasts of the southern wild!

also, christoph waltz, who i love, was nominated. yay!

for the first time in *years* i've seen best picture nominations prior to the oscars! two of them, even! django and les mis. ps: while les mis was much better than i had anticipated (not only did anne hathaway not ruin things, she was even pretty good), it's hardly deserving of best picture.

haha! yeah, i think ever since they expanded the best picture noms to up to ten films, they've been able to include films that appeal to different audiences ;)

i would like it if django won. though i haven't seen the other films yet, i think amour, argo, and zero dark thirty have a strong chance. bret easton ellis is super behind silver linings playbook, so i kinda wanna check that one out.
