In all fairness, I would say easier than Windows.
If you have used Windows a lot, then you need a little time to firmilliarise your self with the new system (as with any new product), but you quickly learn to love it. There's enough FAQs and guides for Mac newbies. Official Mac OS X site has pleanty of help files if you do a search on a topic.
The Mac community on Neowin.net are helpful too and nice people. So you can always ask for help from them.
I don't know, I think data entry may make your brain go 'muuuuuuh' eventually...and building work does actually sound like fun. The people could be awkward though.

I did it with spamm filtering. It's good money for what you do (then again, I did get some really nasty emails though).
