Surreal

Something about life is so surreal..... we all know things we've never seen..... see things we've never known.... look forward to things we couldn't possible understand as possible...... but that's what is so wonderful about it... the mystery within what we believe is familiarity ( Read more... )

You remind me a lot of a Sinfonian choir teacher I had in high school... =) The way you still regard the world with wonder is refreshing, given the norm in our society. It's nice to know others find amazement in things that "normal" people take for granted.

I've just added you.
I encountered you on the CT community.
I am a second year Language Arts teacher at Sterling Memorial School.
I know...where's Sterling?
From Waterbury you would go east until you smell it, south until you step in it...
What I don't get is that your site says you make a decent salary...Maybe I'm in the wrong district, but I made twice as much money waiting tables at Foxwoods just a few years back.
(I spent about 15 years in the restaurant industry before completing the ARC program for my certification.)
Not that I'm complaining. Teaching is way more fun!

You're added as well!
Hehehe... you're right about the "decent salary" thing! What I meant by that was I can make it by and I'm not totally poverty stricken. *LOL* Waterbury does pay well though..... however, with the kinds of things the oversite board from the state has just decided to do with our contracts, I recommend highly against coming here, and in fact I'm hoping to move in a couple of years myself!
But, I love teaching. Although there have sometimes been times when I've felt fed up with some things, there have been so many other times that my students just inspire me. :o) I love it. :o)
