Ugh

Anyone have any remedies for a sinus infection with swollen glands? Preferably not involving antibiotics and other things that require doctors and prescriptions and other expensive junk.

Yes, I know salt water up the schnozz does wonders. It also burns like hell, but beats the heck out of getting pneumonia from evil, nasty drainage.

You know, St. Mary's Convienet care centers have finacial assistance forms to ehlp you based on your income. And as sick as you've been the past..... forever... it miught not be as bad of an idea to look into as you think.

Just my 2 cents. Feel free to donate that 2 cents to charity. ;)

I've been to St. Mary's Convenient Care centers before. They give me antibiotics, they send me home. I eventually get better, but I honestly doubt the antibiotics have all that much to do with it because I haven't taken them for 2 years and I've still gotten better, on a similar time scale.

My recommendation is Golden Seal and Bromelain until the symptoms improve. Then continue the Bromelain for a little while and follow up the Golden Seal with Acidophilus for two days.

Plus chamomile tea with some lemon mixed in.

Golden Seal extract can be mixed in with juice or you can just get the capsules.

Bromelain comes in capsules or you could just drink a lot of pineapple juice instead.

Acidophilus helps restore friendly bacteria after treating the unfriendly bacteria.
