Today was so much better than I expected.

I didn't feel like exerting actual effort while teaching elementary music, so I decided to teach the kids "My Country, 'Tis of Thee."  A few weeks ago the principal discovered that the kids are appallingly ignorant of the standard patriotic repertoire and asked the real music teacher to correct that.  I

Your classes sound like fun and I would like to attend.

I'm trying to fill in lots of formal gaps in my guitar knowledge and learning music was a lot easier when I had hours every day where I had to. Stupid work gets in the way now.

Hooray! I like to think my classes are fun, but my definition of fun has always varied from the typical kid's definition of fun. But you can't go wrong with pirates.

I sympathize. I'm shocked by how little time I have to practice music, and practicing music is supposed to be part of my job. Adulthood, man. It leaves much to be desired.
