Hello,
Finally, yesterday I finished up the felt dolls for my group show with Claire from
http://www.loobylu.com and her friend Van
http://www.vansowerwine.com/ which is going to be held at Hudson Clothes, 229 Carlisle Street, Balaclava, and begins Monday the 27th of February.
The idea was to do 4 prints that have matching dolls and then dolls to spare!
I did a large version of the pink twins doll and named them "Mirabelle and My" with their conjoined teddy bear and a print of the same.
Lots, lots more to follow:
Two sailor girls called "Sweetpea" and "Olive Oil" and their print.
A grumpy little girl doll called "Prudence" and her print.
A large sized "Poppet" doll and matching print.
and then "Acid Bear Girl" and a "Sensible Girl Hero" doll that I have always wanted to make.
even gave her a little pencil.
Last but not least a full cage of "Bad Fairy Dolls", they look remarkably cool in their birdcage, which the lovely Lynn from Patchwork on Central Park very generously loaned to me for the show. Its best not to try to feed them or put your fingers in the cage, they bite!
"Do Not Feed the Fairies" sign.
terrible blurry pic, but I wanted to at least try to show off the loveliness of the cage!
The "Absinthe Fairy".
"Campari Fairy"
"Curacao Fairy"
"Cointreau Fairy"
and the "Pink Gin Fairy".
I cant wait to see what both Claire and Van have made for the show and will have to take some pictures on Sunday to show you all.
bye and thanks for looking at far too many pictures.
Christina
