"That's the end of that chapter," I said as I walked away. My mettle would be tested one last time and then freedom would find me before I could find it. Two hours later I found myself shaking hands with my five-star general, saying what an honor it was.

But before I left one last time, we met. It was by chance it happened the first time, and only by chance again did it happened. We talked briefly and said our final farewells. We finished the hug we started 50 moons ago. I smiled and la lune smiled back at me though it was just after noon. We continued our separate paths, tossing sweet nothing back and forth, even when we could no longer see one another. The entire ordeal was solemn, though I had put a smile on. Tears are for weddings and funerals.

This was something different.

Out of OCC forevers. Time to sleep.
