Disappearing into the woodwork

Well, I had a temporary job which has now finished. Classes begin tomorrow and as much as I am looking forward to going back to class I am absolutely petrified of University vs. College. I did excellent in college, especially for a single mother. But university?...

The same here - when I started my University degree a few years ago I quickly realised that college was playschool in comparism, but I found I got used to the workload very quickly. Probably easy for me to say, since both courses were in the liberal arts (though the second one had a social science major) - I'm assuming that you'd be studying science for this one?

Thanks, you two. College was a joke in some ways. I saw students who put half the time and energy into their grades (cheating, sub-standard work, grading by scale, etc) that I did get the same grades I received. It made me very frustrated that I was doing it the right way and they weren't, but I still wasn't getting rewarded for my extra effort.

And yes, I'm after my science degree. I have a possibility for a work-study job in the state geological survey, so I'm pretty excited about that.
