onward!

I've decided to go to Austin in August, mainly for the Society of American Archivists convention but also to check out the UT Austin library program and the Harry Ransom Center, and wander around Austin itself. Any suggestions for things to do, people to meet up with, and/or places from which to borrow a bicycle would be most welcome.

6 years in Austin buys me some cred, right? filiate June 18 2009, 07:20:07 UTC
Ooh, you should visit me! I have a crappy mountain bike with utterly dead tires, but I would do better to recommend renting one. I will tell you many awesome places you can go...I just have to think about it a little because I'm tired now.

Yes indeed - it would be great to catch up with you! I'll be in touch closer to my actual departure.

I'll be sure to look RK up. And I may ask you to connect me with Burgundy, depending on whether I can find some closer connections.

I suppose if I'm considering moving to Austin I should experience the weather at its worst. Time to start sewing some more cotton dresses...

Also: hi! :)

Yeah, I would totally attempt to stalk RK if I were in Austin. . . .
