Political hypocrisy no longer really surprises me, but it's always nice to see it so clearly illustrated. It turns out that the Washington counties that have the most strongly conservative voting habits also get more in government spending than they pay in taxes. In other words, the areas where people argue the most strongly against paying taxes

Been around for awhile

I've thought for awhile a successful Democratic strategy would be to openly and publicly give Republican/Libertarians/Right-wingers the exact government they claim they want; let wealth concentrate in Democrats hands for an Administration and ask then ask if they feel like playing nicely with others yet.

This would of course be a fantasy alternate reality where Democrats proudly stated their unequivocal support for science, Keynesian economics, civil liberties, transparency in government, and had other signs of not having had their spinal columns surgically removed.
