Mine's a Zojirushi, too, albeit a really old one. It used to belong to bluerain's parents and I think it was originally purchased in the late 80s. Needless to say it's held up well. ;)

I've never had any luck at all making sourdough bread at home, unfortunately. My starter never seems to work very well.
