Mostly unrelatedly... I have a 1986 Volvo 240 DL that is likely heading for the scrapyard this summer. It has a Sony XR-2300 stereo in it, and I suddenly had the strange idea that you might be interested in such a device, since you seem to like old electronic stuff. It doesn't work at the moment, but that may be an electrical issue with the car. If you're interested, I could probably mail it to you. I'd ask for the price of cheapest possible shipping if you got it working, or half that if you couldn't.

Coincidentally I had an '86 240 DL wagon years ago. Manual four-speed plus overdrive. Loved that car, but it eventually rotted out so badly I sold it for parts.
