So today I went and voted. I put a big X in the box I wanted and the rest is in the hands of history

At least you got to get your vote in! We've been seeing on the news about folks being locked out at poll closing time.

and the volcano blocking a plane from reaching it's final destination with voting papers. At least it wasn't like all those americans being scammed with non working poll booths, oh that's right, the English were, Ran out of voting papers my ass, surrrrre you did, Can we we fix it? no it's fucked.

Well, these last few years I've been meddling in American politics. It started out as an effort to get rid of Bush - but now that I've registered mum and I for absentee voting they're sending us ballots to vote for things like Sheriff and Court of Appeals Judge, etc, for 'our' County (Bumfuck - North Carolina). I totally feel justified in this meddling.

There is at least the consolation that topical comedy seems to have more teeth under a conservative government, gives it something to attack.
