MNK42, BCNM40s, King Vinegarroon... Oh wow!
Well, there's some news since my last post. If you check the subject, that's pretty much the gist of it. lj-cut inc!
Woke up this morning and felt like leveling MNK. After seeking for about 10 minutes I get a /t for a party from... the NIN who outclaimed me at Morbolger the first day I tried camping it. It was a JP party seeing as it was like 8AM CST [10PM in Japan]. I accepted it since I was desperate for MNK EXP and I assumed the guy was decently equipped like I was [since he'd have a brown belt as well]. The party setup was very... unorthodox. MNK MNK SAM SMN BRD RDM [notice the lack of a tank]. We were all 39-40 so we were thinking of places to go. Gustav was a no-go since there were 3 PTs there already and W.Altepa wouldn't really be that fun without a true tank. A member had the idea of leveling at Misareaux on the crabs and pugils near Odqan's spawn area so we headed out there.
Surprisingly the party was pretty decent [me and the other MNK bounced hate off each other]. We ended up getting ~6k/hour. At 41, I learned Raging Fists and EXP just kept pouring in. Each time I did Raging Fists would do at least 300 [3/5 hit] and the most I did was 487 [you have to remember, this is at level 41-42 so thats pretty awesome damage]. The party ended with me @700 to 43 so it wasn't too shabby.
Two days ago, I did 9 BCNM40 runs with 2 friends in the LS. We did Under Observation [Peacock charm BC] with the usual setup, NIN NIN RDM. It was my first time doing that BC actually. We won all 9 runs with plenty of time to spare [quickest run took a little over 7 minutes and the longest one took just under 10 minutes] and I got lots of skillups on Ninjutsu [lol, I leveled NIN 37→40 on EXP scrolls and Besieged]. Out of the 9 runs, we got a Peacock charm on the 4th run. I'd like to keep it, but we agreed to sell/split so I bazaared it for the past 2 days for 14.2m when the AH price was 14.8m. I didn't get much luck selling it though... and then someone undercut on the AH for 13.5m. How the hell does something go from 14.8m to 13.5m?! >.> Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed. If I had enough gil, I'd just keep it and send the 2 friend what they're owed, but... I don't have enough so I have to sell it. lol
For the past 2 days, Spil's been up in W.Altepa scouting for KV for lols and it actually popped today. We decided to head out and kill it since its not really common to see it up for a long time [since they despawn if they're passive when the weather goes away]. We killed it in less than 2 minutes [you kinda have to or else it'll regen back to full] and low-and-behold, it dropped Ace's Helm. After I was told I could lot...
lol, I was full so I threw out the remains of a stack of shihei [hmmm... 3 shihei or an Ace's Helm? I'll go with the Helm]. Anyways:
and here's me modeling it in Al Zahbi. It looks pretty horrible, but it goes kinda well with this setup.
