New Orleans!

Ok, so I'm new at this posting thing, which basically means that I have no clue what I'm doing. But instead of trying to remember everyone's email, I thought I'd post here about my New Orleans trip (I'm sure I'll end up emailing too, but I thought this might be a great thing to start me blogging - we'll see :) I'm just gonna post my daily journal

Wow, Lauren. Sounds like an amazing trip!

Thank you for opening my eyes to how bad things still are in New Orleans. Sometimes, I think I have a hard time grasping how the effects Katrina had on the area... I'm definately going to make it more of a priority to keep the people in my prayers.

I’m glad to hear it was such a great experience. The journaling will really help you remember the trip. Take advantage of this momentum to infect as many other people as possible! I didn't realize there was so much work yet to be done. And on a purely cultural level, I’m glad people are working to bring New Orleans back--I’ve always wanted to pay it a visit.
