for some people, they need a push to come out. having a day set aside to do it, and knowing that other people are also doing it, helps some people.

well here's my take: if you need a push to come out, you are not ready... there must be something that's giving you a No signal, you know? And to be completely safe, you gotta do it in a way where you feel most comfortable, but I do see the comfort in doing it on a nationally mandated day!

no two people have the same coming out. i wish it was as easy for everyone as it was for me, but it can't be. if the day helps even one person come out, then it is a day well recognized.

on a lighter note, one year on coming out day, i got stuck in my closet. how is that for a strange coincidence?
